Cocaine – Biggest Threat To Louisiana

Louisiana continues to be a major hub for illegal drugs. There are several factors that play into this; its proximity to ports on the Gulf of Mexico, drug trafficking on the highways and New Orleans as a city full of drugs. All these factors contribute to the state of Louisiana having an increased amount of drugs and crime.

The biggest drug threat in Louisiana is cocaine. Traditionally cocaine and crack cocaine were only found in urban areas. This has changed and cocaine can now be found throughout the state. Drugs and Promiscuity Contribute to Declining Morals in Society

While the amount of people addicted to drugs and alcohol is increasing it’s not surprising that the moral standards of society have suffered.

The connection between drug and alcohol abuse and promiscuity is nothing new. In fact, according to a recent study, researchers at Columbia University have made a connection between illegal drug use and promiscuity. Although this may not come as a surprise to most, what is alarming is that teens who are 14 years or younger that use alcohol are twice as likely to have sex than those who aren’t drinking.

Most people regard promiscuity as an unfortunate side effect of drug and alcohol abuse.
